WE RECOMMEND SHOWA 350R A very busy month, lots of maintenance.
Pots and hanging baskets need to be watered regularly if they are to thrive in the hot summer sun.
Mulch your borders with composted bark or garden compost, it helps keep in the moisture & supresses weeds saving you time in watering and weeding.
Cut and water your lawn regularly, note, do not feed if the weather is hot.
Keep an eye out for blackspot and mildew on roses but, if you are going to spray them, try to spray your roses during the evening, when most insect activity has ceased.
Deadhead all faded flowers from all plants regularly; this prolongs flowering periods and also helps the plant build up strength.
Tie in new shoots of climbing plants.
Continue sowing vegetables to ensure continual supplies.
Shade the plastic or glass roof of your greenhouse to prevent scorch of plant leaves and to help reduce the internal temperatures. TOP TIP - soak the floor with water as this has a cooling effect and increases humidity.
