Jobs for July
WE RECOMMEND SHOWA 310
July is the season of high summer with lots to do.

Remove the faded flowers from annuals and perennials as soon as they are over, this will encourage them to flower again.

To maintain moisture in the soil, mulch your plants after rain with composted bark.

Keep on top of the watering of containers and hanging baskets, even after quite heavy periods of rain, they could still be dry so make sure that you really do soak the compost.

This is the ideal month in which to take cuttings of your plants. These do well in pots and should all root in a couple of weeks, giving you extra plants to pot up for planting next Spring.

In the geenhouse ventilation is important, provide shade & maintain humidity.

Feed roses after first flush of flowers.

Mow lawns weekly and apply a summer feed.
