WE RECOMMEND FLOREO 370 This month is a good time to take a walk around your garden and to assess which plants you would like to see more of, August is the time to take cuttings of many plants and start planning your garden for next year.
The best tip for the August gardener is simply ‘deadheading’, its the perfect way to keep things looking perky and to encourage further flowering.
Water and keep feeding hanging baskets/tubs daily.
Give your hedges one last trim - especially beech if you want to keep the winter foliage.
In your vegetable garden - sow some spring cabbage, dry off your shallots and onions as the tops brown, pinch out the tops of runner beans - it will increase the yield! And pinch out the tops of to mato plants - remove lower leaves
